Role Summary

The Company:

My client is an orthopaedic company dedicated to improving paediatric orthopaedics for children with trauma, deformities, scoliosis, and various sports medicine needs.

The Sales Director will lead all sales functions within the specified market, handling tasks from generating leads to finalizing sales.

This role involves designing and implementing a Sales and Marketing Strategy to broaden the customer base while collaborating with sales and support teams to enhance customer satisfaction, boost revenue, and meet long-term account goals that reflect the company’s core values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focused on selling specialised bracing products exclusively to the Paediatric Medical Community.
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and Sales VP to create an annual business strategy aimed at meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Engage in sales meetings and support the sales team, surgical team, and distributors with inquiries about specialty bracing products and their correct usage.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to finalise sales and capture market share from larger competitors.
  • Uses a consultative approach to recommend bracing solutions that address challenges faced by paediatric hospitals, orthotics and prosthetics clinics, and rehabilitation facilities.
  • Keep comprehensive records of all sales and prospecting efforts, including calls, presentations, closed deals, and follow-ups, utilising Microsoft Outlook and Excel to maximize territory effectiveness.
  • Supervise daily sales functions within the designated geographic region.
  • Educate and mentor local representatives on product knowledge, clinical applications, and effective sales strategies.
  • Define and allocate territories for representatives in the EMEA region.
  • Facilitate quarterly meetings with distributor partners, customers, and local sales teams to assess progress and set targets for the next 90 days.

Key requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in sales within the bracing, orthotics, and prosthetics sectors.
  • Comprehensive background in sales and account management functions.
  • Open to travel and collaborate with an international team of professionals.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of German and/or other European languages is an advantage.

For the right candidate the salary is £80-100K base + £35-50K OTE + Company Benefits.
